Ronald Martin Faulk

Born on July 13, 1956 in Sanford, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Jack Martin Faulk and Evelyn Hearn Faulk. Following graduation from Sanford Central High School, he attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Ron later received his MBA at Winthrop University. Before his retirement, he worked as a Materials Manager for Superior Essex, Inc. and for Assa Abloy.

Ron was a very active member of South Charlotte Baptist Church and Academy where, though he was not married, he strengthened many marriages in his life of teaching; though he never had children of his own, he helped to rear many children through his serving in various children's ministries; and though he was not called to be a pastor, he helped hold up the hands of two pastors as they toiled in the ministry; and though he was quiet, gentle, and meek in body and spirit, he will always be remembered by his words, presence and spirit in most every situation. To his church family, he will always be remembered simply as “Mr. Ron.”

He is survived by his brother, Phillip Ray Faulk (Lisa) of Sanford, two nephews, Ryan Faulk (Jessica) and Aaron Faulk and a niece, Morgan Luettger (Christopher) all of Sanford; great nieces, Aubrey Luettger and Raegan Faulk and a great nephew, Flynn Luettger.

A service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 23rd at South Charlotte Baptist Church – 12416 Lancaster Highway, Pineville, NC. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. There will be a graveside service on Sunday, January 24th at 2:00 pm at Cool Springs Baptist Church – 1313 Cool Springs Road, Sanford, NC.
