 I just heard of Ronnie's passing yesterday at the A-O multiyear reunion.  Ronnie was a really good friend and neighbor of both me and Cousin Mike.  My condolences to his friends and family.  Eddie Hopkins, Class of 61 A-O

Phil and I were saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing.Phil talked
about playing football at Western with Ronnie.Ronnie was one
of the older boys the younger ones looked up to..I never met
him,but I remember him from A.O. and Western.I thought he
was so handsome and a gentleman.Our deepest sympathy to
Sue and Raymond and Ronnie's wife and family.

I am so sorry for your loss, hearing Ronnie's name takes me back 50 years to Western High School.  We were a newly consolidated high school and Ronnie was my classmate for only two years but everyone knew him; we all loved him and I especially remember him for his smile and quick wit. Even before coming to Western, around our county, he was a "sports legend" - very well known for his athletic ability on the football field.  R.I.P.  Ronnie Cain.......  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I remember Ronnie as a sweet, friendly and humble guy from our high school class of '64.  I am sad for his family and wish them peace.  That football team and their making of memories and history is a fond memory of mine.

We did not know him, but we do know his wonderful sister, Melanie. If she is anything like Ronnie was, then he was a wonderful person! God bless Melanie and Raymond and all the family at this time.

Ronnie was a huge influence and great friend out of our class at Western Alamance High School.  We remember him for his part of our undefeated football team and as a singer with the Linemen 3.  We are saddened to hear of his passing and send our deepest condolences to his family.

Very sorry for your loss.  We are so happy to have come to know & love Melanie & Raymond through our church. We pray God will bless & comfort all of you in the new year.

Ron always seemed to be the epitome of what a big brother should be like. We friends of Sue from school all remember him as a 'cool' young man! I know sister Melanie Sue Ball and Ron's wife Carol and their extended family have felt a profound loss and our sympathies go out to you all.

Melanie and Raymond are such an integral part of our church family. We all are sad about the loss of Ron. To you Carol, and all the entire family, we offer our sympathy.

Ronnie, your struggles are over. You will always live on in our prayers and memories. I have memories of walking over to your house after school under the pretense of studying and you always had a joke or story to tell. I also recall the good times we had before and after football practice hanging out at Pearlie Gaster's store drinking coca colas and eating peanuts. It has been many years since we have talked but it was always comforting to know that you were there. Rest in peace.

They say life is a journey and no one walks it alone. But as I thought when my father past no one takes the complete journey with another in this world. I am honored to have shared a little over a decade attending school, church, walking part of the Appalachian Trail, going on outings and to sporting events with this man. But as usually happens in this life we embark on different paths which cross more and more infrequently in adulthood. Perhaps our paths will merge again in the hereafter.
