Robert Michael Beck

Born June 7, 1959 in Pittsburgh, PA, he lived in Charlotte for 56 of his 57 years and was a son of Mary Tkach Beck and the late Robert John Beck. Rob was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School, attended the School of Design at NC State University and graduated from UNCC with an art degree. He was a talented artist and musician playing guitar, violin and piano.

Rob retired in January of this year after working thirty years for Beck Sales and Engineering.

In addition to his mother, Rob is survived by his sister, Suzanne Beck Wright and husband, Clayton Wright, and his brother, Michael Beck and his wife, Rhonda Beck.

A service to celebrate Rob’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7th in the chapel of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Road. His family will receive friends at the church following the service.
