He was the son of Charles and Beverly (Kirschofer) Prucker. Born October 25, 1953 in Utica, NY, he was educated locally and graduated from Whitesboro High School.
Richard received a kidney transplant in 1971 from his sister, Diane. “A Gift of Life” that lasted almost 50 years!
Richard worked as a local auto mechanic. He went on to the Riverside School of Aeronautics, graduating as an Aircraft Mechanic. He started at Empire Airlines on 10/30/78. As other airlines merged together, he had the opportunity to work for Piedmont Airlines, US Air and American Airlines. He completed 40 years of service and retired as a Lead Aircraft Mechanic on 12/19/18.
He married Lisa Nastovich on 9/18/82. They were married just short of 41 years.
Along with his beloved wife Lisa, he leaves three daughters and six grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Jamison (Larissa) Eilerman and children; Caroline, Julian, and baby Gabriel (due 12/2023). Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Alexandra) DeBoer and children; Norah, Ronan, and Molly; Mr. and Mrs. Brent (Erica) Combs. A sister, Mr. and Mrs. Russel (Diane) Green (FL). A niece, Andrea Green.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Randall. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Bill Randall and nieces, Kristin Phelps and Amanda Krutz.
Also surviving is his step-mother, Irene Haracz, a special lady who was able to combine all of the children (adults) into one family. He leaves: (Patrick) and Penny Fenton (NY), (Steven) and Kathy Fenton (AZ), (Irene) and Donna Bradley (NV), (Michael) and Donna Fenton (NC), (Mary) Healey (FL), and (Joseph) and Lisa Fenton (WA).
The service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 22, 2023 in the Pineville Chapel of McEwen Funeral Home, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC. The family will received guests following the service.
