Richard Dean Allison, 70, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. Born December 12, 1952 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Dan and Sarah (Miller) Allison. He married Gloria Rudisille on June 10, 1973 and she preceded him in death on October 25, 2020.
A graduate of Harding High School, Richard spent his leisure time umpiring for the Optimist League. He also enjoyed being a true fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Duke Blue Devils.
Survivors include his children, Sheryl J. Allison and Wayne D. Allison; grandchildren, Natalie Adkins and Felicity Welch; brother, Dennis (Elizabeth) Allison; sister, sister-in-law, Gina Allison; fur baby, Bae; nieces, nephews and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, George Allison.
