With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Peter Evan Cory, a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many. Born on June 22, 1995, Peter left this world on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 28, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he recently moved for his work at TTI. His departure leaves a void that words cannot fill.
Peter was the most wonderful son to Ann & Kevin, who added so much to enrich their lives. Throughout his 28 years, Peter embraced life's challenges and triumphs with courage and grace.
As a brother, Peter was the embodiment of support and camaraderie. He shared an unbreakable bond with his sisters, Alexandra Cory and Reed Cory. His sister Alexandra's fiancé, Parks King, found in Peter not just a future family member, but a true friend whose laughter and kindness enriched their lives.
Beyond his immediate family, Peter's love extended deeply to his extended family and friends. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him, a reminder of the power of compassion and connection.
Peter's journey began at Jemicy School, where he cultivated friendships that would stand the test of time. He continued his educational journey at Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Maryland, an institution that nurtured not only his academic growth but also his character. It was during these formative years that Peter discovered his passion for wrestling, a sport that would teach him the values of discipline, perseverance, and resilience. Life, however, had its own set of challenges. Two back operations could have dimmed his spirit while in college, but Peter's determination ultimately won. He overcame adversity and emerged stronger than before. In pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, he earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from McDaniel College, demonstrating his commitment to his aspirations.
Peter's professional journey was just as inspiring. His career path led him to TTI/ Milwaukee Tool, where he began as a Sales & Marketing Representative and after two promotions ascended to the role of Territory Manager. Beyond titles and positions, Peter embodied qualities that endeared him to all who crossed his path. His charisma was undeniable, capable of eliciting laughter and forging connections from all walks of life. Peter had a rare gift of making everyone feel seen and valued. His relatability was a bridge that united people, breaking down barriers and creating bonds.
Loyalty and generosity were the cornerstones of Peter's character. He was a friend who stood by his companions through thick and thin, embodying the essence of camaraderie. Peter's willingness to extend a helping hand knew no bounds, a testament to his compassionate and selfless nature.
Nature was Peter's sanctuary, where he found solace and joy. Riding his motorcycle, fishing, and engaging in outdoor adventures allowed him to connect with the world in profound ways. A passion for shooting sporting clays and hunting brought out his precision and focus, echoing his ability to aim for excellence in all aspects of life.
As we gather to honor Peter's memory, let us remember the joy he brought, the laughter he shared, and the love he radiated. Let us celebrate his life lived to the fullest and the legacy he leaves behind. In this time of remembrance, as we mourn his physical absence, let us find comfort in the knowledge that Peter's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
