Patricia H. Holland Brock

Patricia (“Patsy”, “Trish”) Holland Brock passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord Dec. 8, 2017 at home with family and close friends. She was born September 27, 1941 in Andrews, NC to Mary (Bailey) Holland and Alexander Isaac Holland. Trish graduated from Andrews High School in 1959 where she played on the girls Varsity basketball team. She attended Queens College and then began a thirty-year career with Southern Bell. A strong, capable woman, she began her career as a switchboard operator, and advanced to a staff manager. Trish received Southern Bell’s “Profit Through Excellence” award in October 1987. She retired from Southern Bell in 1991.

She was an avid golfer who loved the mountains, the beach, and swimming pools. She also loved dancing with her favorite partner Pat. Trish had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. She had many friends who thought of her as family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Doyle A. Holland and Edgar William Holland. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years, James “Pat” Brock; her brother Hoyt Thomas Holland; two nephews Michael Alec Holland and Thomas William Holland (Linda); Audie Holland; two nieces Mary Ann Holland Sandberg (Carl) and Pamela Diane Holland Cato (Scott); and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 10th with the funeral beginning at 2:00 pm in the Paul Helton Chapel at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. Reverend Danny Griffin is officiating.
