Over the past few years, Nicholas has battled the disease of addiction – a disease that ultimately took him from us much too soon. Tragically, that is a story too many families have become familiar with. But Nick’s life was not defined by his addiction. It was defined by the love and devotion he had for his family and friends. It was defined by his charisma, which never failed to light up any room he entered. It was defined by his deep and abiding loyalty to those who befriended him. It was defined by the infectious enthusiasm he radiated when engaged in his favorite pursuits, whether playing a video game, watching a UFC fight with his brother Anthony, or talking about the latest Netflix show he enjoyed. Those are the memories we will cherish and keep with us in the difficult days, weeks, and months to follow. And we hope that those are the memories that will stay with the many, many people who loved him.
Nicholas is survived by his mom and stepdad, Justine and John Oliva; his dad and stepmom, Mark and Nikki Vasco; his brother Anthony, his sister Alana, his brother-in-life Mickie Barmore; and his loving grandparents, JoAnn and Ron Aiello, Christine and Ken Baldonieri, John and Kathy Oliva, and Sonja Paffe.
