Nancy Matthews Love

Nancy Elizabeth Matthews Love, age 87 of Charlotte passed away December 16, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice. Funeral services will be at Wednesday at 11:00AM Wednesday at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, Reverend Gary Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Love was married 55 years to the late Arlie Price Love who passed away August 10, 2004 and they had lived in the Coulwood Community. She was a member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church. Much loved mother, nana, grandmother and great grandmother her children are Randy Price Love (Joyce), Wayne Scott Love (Carol), Kenneth Arlie Love (Dawn), grandchildren, Windy Love Holcomb (Todd) Amy Love Strauss (Michael) Kelly Love Grass (David), Travis Love, and Nicholas Love, five great grandchildren, sister, Mary Bell Morris, special sister-in-law, Rachel Matthews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Leonard, Neely Blanchard, brothers Richard Matthews, John Matthews, ad Oliver Mathews and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Love, a homemaker enjoyed raising her own vegetables and canning for the family to enjoy all the winter. She never forgot a birthday. She loved going to Windy Hill Beach, SC with her extended family and will be missed at the annual Matthews family Christmas Eve gathering at the homeplace in Weddington. The family wishes to thank caregivers, Diane Boyd, Ellen Gaffney, Diedre Day, Old Knox Commons, and Dixon & Levine Hospice for their loving care.
