Nancy T. Helms

Nancy T. Helms, 65, of Belmont, NC, passed away August 27, 2022 in Charlotte. Born June 4, 1957 in Abingdon, VA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Irene Thomas. She married Melvin Helms on June 8, 1974 in Charlotte.

A member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Nancy retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy after 26 years of employment. She was also a member of the Concerned Bikers Association.

She enjoyed attending church, taking care of her family and others, watching television, riding motorcycles and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her children, Josie White, Candy (Travis) Braswell and Curtis (Heidi) Helms; grandchildren, Lisa, Shannon, Alesha, Allison, Dillon, Devin, Lilyan and C.J.; great-grandchildren, Preston, Aden, Josh, Jaylen, Justice, Julian, Micah, Weston, Maybelle, Polo, Penelope and Prince; sisters, Connie Biller and Vivian Haigler; brothers, Billy Ed (Linda) Thomas and Mackie Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Curtis Thomas.

Visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral Service 11am Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the funeral home.

Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

A funeral reception / gathering will be held for family and friends to celebrate and remember the life of Nancy T Helms.
