Minnie Patterson

Charlotte - Minnie Patterson, 78, passed away on July 13, 2015 in Sanford, NC, a daughter of the late William Earle and Minnie B. Patterson; and sister to her late brother, Charles Ray Patterson.

She graduated from Charlotte city schools, and went on to obtain a business degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. She was a loyal member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte, and an associate member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sanford. She was a lifelong resident of Charlotte until a physical disability dictated assisted living beginning in 2006, when she became a resident of Parkview Retirement Center in Sanford.

Minnie is survived by her brother, William E. Patterson, Jr. and wife Monica of Sanford; niece Elizabeth P. Clayton (Ward) of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, William E. Patterson, III (Patricia) of Kannapolis, NC, John M. Patterson (Jill) of Ellenton, FL; great niece and great nephew, Monica and Will Clayton, both of Jacksonville, FL, and great niece Grace Patterson of Ellenton, FL.

The funeral service will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in the Chapel of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1001 Queens Road, Charlotte. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sanford, or to the donor’s choice.
