Mike was full of life and brought much joy, laughter, and love to all of those around him. He would do anything for anyone, would often put others needs above his own, and got great happiness out of doing so. The most important thing in his life was family, and each of those lucky enough to call him family knew they were adored.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kevin and Donna DeSeve, and was raised in Colonie, New York. A fun and mischievous child who loved a good laugh, often did so tormenting his sister (Danielle) whom he cared for so deeply. Those who knew Mike, knew he was a prankster who brought humor to his life and all of those around him. He was enthusiastic and always up for new adventures. Whether camping or skydiving, or even something as simple as creating new games to play with his family, Mike enjoyed life to the fullest.
He was a natural salesman and a great charmer. He could pretty much talk to anybody about anything and, as his family says, could sell dirt in a dust storm. This quality is one of the primary reasons that Michael was such a popular person throughout his life. Always a fun-loving guy, Michael was dependable, loyal and trustworthy. He was accepting of all and never let anyone walk away a stranger.
When Michael made friends, he made true and lasting friendships, starting with his childhood and life-long friend, George Sibincich and best friend and confidant Paul Winnerling. His life-long friendships didn’t end with childhood nor did they end with two-legged friends. He had and loved animals his whole life, namely Fonzie, Jake, Luke and Sam.
Mike was taken from his family and friends too soon; on July 23, 2020 at age 48. He is survived by his children, Grace and Madeline; his partner in crime and mother of his children Kim; his sister Danielle; his nieces, Jasmine and Jessica; his nephews, Anthony, Julian and Joshua; his cousin Ben who was like a younger brother; and a large extended family.
His unconditional love for his daughters was his sole focus, and their happiness was his happiness. No doubt they will go through life smiling when they think of their dad.
