He peacefully entered eternal rest on November 29, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on August 3, 1947, Henry devoted his life to his family, his faith, and his country. As a decorated Marine, he served with distinction for 30 years, embodying the core values of courage, honor, and commitment. His leadership, integrity, and selflessness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
Henry was the beloved husband of Edna, his devoted partner of 40 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. They raised three children—Michelle, Eric, and Emerson—who were his pride and joy. Henry was also a proud and doting grandfather to six grandchildren (Sanahvee, Emerson, Isabelle, Jaden, Katelyn and Layla, who brought endless joy and light into his life.
A man of deep Christian faith, Henry lived a life grounded in compassion, wisdom, and kindness. He was a constant source of love and support for his family, and his faith guided him through every challenge. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved, and his legacy of faith, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Henry leaves behind a lasting legacy of devotion to family, country, and faith. While his absence leaves a deep void, his memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 2:00PM at Robinson Presbyterian Church, 9424 Harrisburg Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215.
