Mary McDonald Lowe

The family has been living in Charlotte since 1954. Mary retired in 1985. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Amelia L. McGee.

She is survived by two children, Lynda T. Irby of Indian Land, SC and Philip Lowe and wife, Nancy, of Lake Mary, FL; grandsons, Reggie Tamez and wife, Melissa, of Mint Hill and William Lowe of Michigan; and her very special great granddaughter, Caroline Tamez. Mrs. Lowe always enjoyed being with her children and sharing happy times.

Mrs. Lowe was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church for many years, where she was also a member of the Sarah Circle and Cokesbury Prime Timers.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 am Tuesday, August 18, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. In-Yong Lee will officiate. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and compassionate staff at Wilora Lake for the loving care they provided Mrs. Lowe.
