Mary Ann Bridges

Born in Lincoln County, NC on October 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ada Perkins Mundy.

Mrs. Bridges graduated from Derita High School and was a member of Newell Baptist Church.

She had owned and operated along with her late husband, Everette Huey Bridges, the Lucky B Horse Stables in Mallard Creek, NC.

In addition to her husband, who preceded her in death on October 26, 1980, she was preceded by four siblings, Dub Mundy, Billie Crump, Pauline Furr and Bonnie Sue McGinley.

There are two daughters, Sherry Severt (late husband, Jim) of Monroe, NC and Wanda Reid (husband Ken) of Mooresville, NC, a son, Chip Bridges (wife, Leslie) of Sherrills Ford, NC; three sisters, Patsy Byrd (husband, Bill) of Taxi Hall, SC, Yvonne Patterson (husband, Buddy) of Dallas, TX and Glenda Diaz (husband, Val) of Florida; eight grandchildren, Blake, Banks, Ben and Beau Bridges, Zach Hefner, Amanda Stewart, Skip Severt and Jessi Speight; six great grandchildren, Claire, Mason and Faith Hefner, Trent Severt, Summer Speight and Sloan Stewart.

Friends may visit Friday, July 29, 2016 at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262 from noon to 1:00 pm with funeral services scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
