Martha Cecilia Castrillon

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Martha Cecilia Castrillon, a beloved grandmother, mother, wife, and friend, who left us peacefully on November 22, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on December 22, 1953, in Manizales, Colombia, Martha was a radiant light in our lives, known for her infectious laughter and her remarkable ability to make anyone smile.

Family was everything to Martha. She poured her heart into raising her only daughter, Katherine, and her love grew even deeper for her granddaughter, Zoey, who brought her endless joy. The bond they shared was truly special, filled with laughter, warm embraces, and countless adventures that took them around the world.

Martha’s home was a haven of love and warmth. No matter the occasion—be it a holiday celebration or a simple gathering—her door was always open, and the sound of laughter filled the air. Memories were made around her table, where everyone felt welcomed and cherished.

As a devoted wife to her husband, Patrick, Martha and he shared a love that knew no bounds. Their relationship was filled with beautiful moments that highlighted the depths of their affection for one another.

As we reflect on her life, we cherish the countless joyful moments she gifted us—her spontaneous jokes, her witty remarks, and her talent for finding joy in the little things. Martha leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to touch our hearts for years to come.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine, her granddaughter, Zoey, and her loving husband, Patrick. Although Martha may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain alive in the love and laughter she inspired.

Rest in peace, Martha. Thank you for the joy, love, and smiles that will remain in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Martha will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
