Margie Bynum Miller, 83, of Charlotte, passed away March 19, 2023 in Asheville, NC. Born February 23, 1940 in North Wilkesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Presley and Magoline (Johnson) Bynum. She married Michael D. Miller on September 7, 1960 in North Wilkesboro; he preceded her in death.
A graduate of Wilkes High School, Margie was a member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
For numerous years, Margie was a substitute teacher for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and provided in-home daycare.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Patti) and Gordon (Amber) Miller; grandchildren, Megan (Aaron) Cox, Caitlin (Austin) Miller-Pitock, Jessica (Jordan) Stockman, Nicholas Miller, Alexandra Miller, Charlotte Robinson, David Miller and Lillian Miller; sisters, Linda James and Wanda McGlamory.
Funeral Service 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
