Mabel Sprinkle

Mabel Pegram Sprinkle, 87, of Charlotte, NC, died April 26,2012. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Odell Vernon Sprinkle, children Ron Sprinkle of Sacramento, CA, Mark Sprinkle of Charlotte, NC, and Susie Sprinkle Katz of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Benjamin Sprinkle of Rocklin, CA; Kent Sprinkle of San Francisco, and Ashley Katz of Charlotte, NC; and great grandchildren Hannah and Ella Sprinkle of Rocklin, CA and Claire Sprinkle of San Francisco, CA.

She was a graduate of Lewisville School and a Winston-Salem, NC business college. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte for twenty years.

Never a person to take the limelight, she provided for everyone around her, often going without herself. Even though she had a relatively sudden demise from unforeseen heart failure, she apparently foresaw her future and quietly prepared herself and her affairs, making the way smooth, as usual, for her husband and family. Her kindness and patience made her an excellent teacher All who knew her loved her and we will miss her very much.

She wanted no fanfare in life or in death but Heaven is certainly rejoicing see her home. We celebrate a wife, mother, counselor, and friend and treasure the memories of her life. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite charity, especially those that help the poor.

Her funeral will be held at the Church of Christ, 4338 North Sharon Amity, Charlotte, NC 28212 at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012. A graveside ceremony will follow at Sharon Memorial Park at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte NC 28212.
