Lynn Patterson

Dennis “Lynn” Patterson, 51, is now worshiping his Savior face to face, following a courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born in Charlotte, NC on Nov. 6th, 1958. He is the son of Christine Warwick Patterson and the late Homer Darwin Patterson. He was a 1977 graduate of Myers Park H.S. and attended CPCC. He owned and operated White Glove Detailing. Lynn will always be remembered for his passionate faith, gentle spirit and fun-loving personality. He packed more love, joy, fun and corny jokes into 51 years than most people could have in several lifetimes. Above all, Lynn will be remembered for his complete devotion to the One who gave His life so that Lynn will have eternal life, his Lord Jesus Christ.

Lynn is survived by his life-long love, his wife and best friend, Dana Lambert Patterson, and three children he adored, David, Daniel and Delaney, all of the home. In addition to his mother, Christine Patterson, his is survived by two sisters; Joyce Patterson Carey, her husband, Gilbert Carey and their son, Darwin all of Knoxville, TN, and Brenda Patterson of Washington DC. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Patterson and Lynn’s twin brother, Glenn Patterson. Lynn was also a much loved brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

No tribute will be able to do justice to the incredible father and husband we were blessed to have for far too short a season. We will celebrate Lynn’s life and his 52nd birthday, Saturday November 6, 2010 at 1:00pm, at Central Church of God, 5301 Sardis Road, and Charlotte NC 28270. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm today, Friday November 5, 2010 at McEwen Pineville Funeral Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. The family has chosen cremation and asks that, in lieu of flowers, those who wish to give gifts for an education fund for their children send the gifts to Dana Patterson, c/o P.O. Box 454 Pineville, NC 28134.
