Lauren Courtney Talton, 39, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Atrium CMC Main surrounded by her loved ones. She suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday, February 3. Words cannot adequately express the intensity of loss felt by her family and friends who love her so deeply. Lauren cherishes her children and is so proud of them. She brings joy and light to so many and is sorely missed.
Lauren Courtney Barnette was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 9, 1982, to Lynne Belk Barnette and Norman Barnette. She attended Charlotte Mecklenburg schools and graduated from UNC Charlotte with a master’s degree. She was a facilitator and educator at North Mecklenburg High School.
Lauren was preceded in death by her father, Norman Barnette. She leaves behind her husband, James Olin Talton and their beloved daughters, Lily Kate Talton and Alice Harper Talton. She also leaves behind her mother, Lynne Darvishian of Charlotte; her brother, Andrew Barnette of Charlotte; her mother in-law and father-in law, Ron and Rebecca Talton; her other in-laws, nieces, and nephew; plus, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who adored her.
The Service of Celebration of Lauren’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 12 at Amity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by a visitation in Johnston Hall.
