Julia Hodge Dixon

Julia Elaine Hodge Dixon was a loving, devoted mother and sister. She was a very thoughtful and kind-hearted person who was selfless and always put others first. Her loving ways and natural gift of gab with a touch of humor always lifted the spirits of everyone in the room.

Besides being a super mom and dedicated caretaker for her loving mother, she enjoyed photography, writing children and country music songs, planning family get-togethers, beach time with family, and church time on Sundays.

Julia is survived by her son Larry Chadwick (Chad) Dixon; sister Margaret Cathryn (Cathy) Hodge Hudson, and five brothers Julius (Jay) Eugene Hodge III, Allan Clay Hodge, John Berchie Hodge, James Darrell Hodge, and Randy Scott Hodge. She is preceded in death by her sister Jessie Nona Hodge McDonald.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2023 beginning at 11am in the chapel at McEwen Funeral Services located at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Funeral service will follow at 12pm. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park immediately following the service.
