Joyce Riddle Bishop

Joyce Riddle Bishop, 83, of Charlotte passed away June 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born in Charlotte to Ellis and Rose Riddle on July 15, 1927. Joyce loved the years she volunteered at CMC Pineville and enjoyed nature, especially watching birds and deer outside her home. But most of all, Joyce loved and cherished her family and dedicated her life to them and her extended family

Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Wylie T. Bishop, daughter, Brenda Bishop and daughter-in-law, Patricia Bishop. She will be dearly missed by her children; Ted (Patricia) Bishop of Midland, Sandra (Bruce) Johnson of Sherrills Ford, Cathy (Rick) Perry of Boca Raton, FL and Michael Bishop of Charlotte; grandchildren, Angie and Jessica Perry, Lisa and Kristen Bishop and Stacey Block; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
