Josh spent his childhood in Charleston SC before moving to Charlotte in his teens. He attended South Mecklenburg High School and worked various restaurant management jobs before joining Lowe’s Home Improvement in Pineville, where he was employed for the last 18 years.
He was a kind, loving and amazing man who was devoted to his family. He was an avid comic book collector and loved cooking, metal detecting and surfing at the beach.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Brown Ramey; two children, Rachel Perris Ramey and Logan Patrick Ramey, all of Charlotte; his mother and stepfather, Greg and Kathy Jones of Pineville; one brother, Paul Ramey of Boyne City MI; one sister, Sara Edwards Barton (Brian) of Blacksburg SC.
Josh had several nephews and one niece, Jet Ramey, Colt Ramey, Vaughn Ramey, Scottie Edwards, Emma Barton, James Barton, and Brandon Barton, as well as one aunt, Kimberly Sue Wood of Muncie IN.
A private celebration of life will be held in March.
