Charlotte - Josephine Wrenn Rice, 91, passed away on August 30, 2015 at Charlotte Square Assisted Living. She was born on November 23, 1923 in Siler City, NC, daughter of the late Earl and Evelyn Burgin Wrenn.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, William; sister, Miriam Crosby; and grandson, Christopher Rice. She is survived by her children, Marianne (Larry), Bill (Mary), Jim (Debbie), Chuck (Kathy), and Dan (Bonnie); 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Josephine graduated from Central High School in 1941 and attended Queens College. For over 40 years she was a tax accounting secretary.
Visitation will be at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home, 500 Providence Road, Saturday, September 5, from 10:00-10:45 am. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 am.
