Joseph "Joe" M. Blythe

Joe was born on April 13, 1927, in Charlotte. He attended Long Creek School and went on to serve in two branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, the Navy and Air Force. He retired from Freightliner Trucks in Mt. Holly. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, traveling on Christian tours, and the simple pleasures in life. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Bertha Blythe; brother, Bob Blythe.

Joe is survived by his sister-in-law, Peggy Blythe; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Bonnie and Frank Sholar, Steve and Jan Blythe, David Blythe, Ginger and Joe Frazier, and Brigette and Bryan Edwards.

The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2:00pm and visitation will begin at 1:15pm at the church. The service will be officiated by Rev. Stu Butler. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
