Jonda Burr Patterson

From her birth in Kannapolis on September 22, 1947 to her death this Wednesday, May 21, 2014, she nourished people around her with love, spirit, humor and the finest cooking. She loved a spur of the moment movie or shopping trip, never missing a moment to spend time with the ones she loved. She was born to Aileen and John Burr. She attended A.L Brown High School. Jonda was married to loving husband Michael, since July 2, 1968. They enjoyed travel and the company of family and friends. She worked many years as an Investment-Brokerage Clerk at Royal Insurance.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeremy, sisters Kenda, Florence and brother Floyd. Left to honor and remember her with love are husband Michael, son David Steele and wife Allison Steele, grandchildren: Aarian Patterson, Meredith Steele, Miranda Steele, Gabriel Patterson, Gavin Patterson, Brittany Wineberger, Gracie Slawter, Coyte Cline, Lindsey Cline, Hillary Blethen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jonda will be remembered for her courage, determination, strength, humor and grace by all whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 2nd at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 13110 Moss Rd., Charlotte beginning at 2 PM, memorial service commencing at 3 PM.
