Jetta King Williams, age 90 passed away August 30, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospice. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2:00PM Sunday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Reverend A. J. Thomas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Jetta was born January 17, 1922 to Mack Henry King, Sr. and Grace Thomas King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Brady Williams to whom she was married for 41 years.
Surviving are sons, Edmond Brady Williams, Jr. (Liz) of Valparaiso, IN., Michael Lee Williams (Carol) of Charlotte, NC, David Andrew Williams (Lucy) of Henderson, Ky., Robert Steven Williams (Karen) of Decatur, Ala., and a daughter, Nancy Corrina Williams Durham (Ben) of Charlotte, NC, and ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was looking forward to the birth of her 7th great grandchild next year. In addition she is survived by 4 in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Berryhill School in Charlotte and retired as an Office Manager for Roses Stores, Inc. She was a long time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
