Jeanne Marie Skelton Mayernik

Mrs. Mayernik, age 81, of Charlotte, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. Born March 14, 1931 in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of the late Edward Byron Skelton and Lucy Abadie Skelton and step-daughter of Catherine Skelton. Mrs. Mayernik earned a Master’s Degree in Library Science. She retired as a librarian of a public library. Mrs. Mayernik was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, February 8th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Winslow, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ferdinand Anthony Mayernik; twelve children, Richard, Lucille, Joan, Barbara, Frances, James, Michael, Andrew, Theresa, Mary, Victoria and Thomas; step-mother; twenty-two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two siblings, Ronnie and Etta. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mayernik was preceded in death by a grandson.
