Helen L. Reece

She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and retired from Merita Bakery after 32 years of employment.

Helen enjoyed shopping, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and her dog, Cody.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Burnette, Beverly Garrison, Teresa (Ken) Scott, Jerry Burnette and Steve Reece; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Early Hasty, Elsie Crawford, Betty Moore and Bessie Vinson.

A visitation for Helen will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service 2:15 PM at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
