Gerald Kenneth Robinson, 95, of Charlotte NC died Monday, February 16 at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home in Charlotte. He was born in Altoona, PA in 1919. Returning to Charlotte after serving in Japan and Panama as an Army officer, he began a long career with Southern Bell, later AT&T. Upon retiring, he and his wife Lois ran a successful antiques business until she died in 2012. The couple had two sons, Daniel, now deceased, and Kenneth. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
