Georgia T. Eggleston

She was born to George and Veronica Thomas on July 31, 1942, and enjoyed a wonderful childhood growing up on the family farm at Vineyard Coulee close to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Georgia married Nelson Eggleston on May 12, 1962, at St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien where she took on the role of a Navy wife.

She loved nature, gardening, animals, arts and crafts and was a voracious reader. Georgia was a two-time cancer survivor and took great pride in her Bachelor of Arts as an adult student from Eastern Connecticut State University. After retiring from Daticon Systems as a document analyst, she split her time between her beloved daughters.

Georgia is survived by two daughters, Donna (Michael) Dudish and Carol (David Jorgenson) Eggleston; one brother, Terence (Vivian) Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Veronica Thomas; her former, husband Nelson Eggleston; five brothers, Joseph, Richard, Martin, Leo and Peter; and two sisters, Margaret Braun and Mary Thomas.

McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel is assisting with a private service for the family.
