Gary is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Faber, their son Brad Faber (Kelsey), and three cherished grandchildren, Bennett, Greta, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Dye (James), and niece, Amy Dye (Karle). Gary's family was the center of his life, and he adored his son and grandchildren with all his heart. His deep affection for his loved ones, as well as his loyalty to his friends, was a defining characteristic of his life.
Gary graduated from DeVilbiss High School and went on to earn his business degree from the University of Toledo. He served in the U.S. Army before starting his career at Midrex Corporation. In 1974, he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, with Midrex, where he continued to build a successful career. In 1990, Gary made the bold decision to leave Midrex and open his own accounting business, where he made a lasting impact on many clients and colleagues.
Outside of his professional life, Gary was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching professional sports. His favorite events to attend, however, were those of his grandchildren, which included swim meets, soccer games, basketball games, and dance recitals. He lived his life with warmth, generosity, and a sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Gary's life is being planned for January. The family invites those who knew him to join them in honoring his memory.
