Elizabeth "Pan" Little Allen

Elizabeth Little Allen “Pan”, of Charlotte, NC, died March 10, 2022 at Wellmore Assisted Living Tega Cay, with her daughter by her side. She was born October 5, 1940, in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Frank Milton Little and Sarah Thomas Little.

She graduated from Central High, class of 1958. Pan then attended Greensboro College and finished with a major in Elementary Education. Later she went on and pursued a master degree at UNC Charlotte. Pan taught in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and Charlotte Academy/Kiddie Korner Day School. She used her patience and creativity to provide a learning environment in which each student could realize his or her potential to learn. She believed that every child had the right to a good education and did more than her share to see that they had the chance.

Pan was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son, Michael David Allen and his significant other, R.E. of Colorado; daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Moretz and her husband, Brad, of Blowing Rock, NC; four wonderful grandchildren: Lilly, Jensen, Leif and Avery Elizabeth; and many, many cousins and a multitude of friends.

Her life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 30th at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
