Charlotte - Mr. Mann passed away on November 2, 2016 at his home at the age of 91. He was born May 5, 1925 in Berlin, Germany, a son of the late Julius and Else Mann, and beloved husband of his late wife, Roseline Mann. They were married for 66 years.
Mr. Mann was a traveling salesman, selling women's apparel for 47 years. He volunteered at Novant Presbyterian Hospital for over 20 years in various roles. He accumulated the highest number of volunteer hours during that time. Mr. Mann was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and a long-time member of the Phalanx Masonic Lodge. He was also very active in Temple Israel for over 60 years in many capacities.
Mr. Mann is survived by his son, Elliott Mann; two granddaughters, Lizabeth Marcum (Casey) and Meredith Jones (Bryan); as well as three great-grandchildren, Landyn and Carter Marcum and Reagan Jones. In addition to his wife Roseline, he was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Ebbie Mann, who was like the daughter he never had.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6th at Temple Israel. Interment will follow in the Hebrew Cemetery.
