Doris Eason Ross

Doris was born on September 15, 1935 in Union County. She was an active member of Blair Road UMC and the Hannon Sunday School Class.

Known to her family as an amazing person, quiet and caring. Doris loved to travel, was an avid reader and enjoyed feeding the birds and deer that came to visit her.

Her husband, Clifford, son, Danny and Daughter, Janet Spittle predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Ross, sisters; Elsie Baucom, Ruth Simpson as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Christine, Kaye and Hospice of Union County, as well as the Angels at The Little Flower for their loving care. And a big thank to J.J. Jennings who loved Sherrie and Doris as her own.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Blair Road United Methodist Church or Hospice of Union County.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at Blair Road United Methodist Church, 9135 Blair Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM. Doris will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
