Dianne was born on March 20, 1941, in Pensacola, Florida to the late Clyde and Katherine Miller. She graduated from Pensacola High school and later attended Pensacola Junior College.
She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina after marrying Craig Sutton and together, they had three children, John, Rachel and Curtis. She adored being a mother and was always devoted to her family. While in Charlotte, she joined Third Presbyterian Church and was a member for over twenty years. After Craig's untimely death, Dianne later met her second husband, Joe Michael. Together they moved to Sarasota, Florida. She joined Isle of Palms Presbyterian Church and remained an active member for over twenty years. After Joe's passing, Dianne moved back to Charlotte in 2020 to be closer to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always prioritized spending time with her family and was overjoyed when she became "Dee-Dee" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and "Aunt Dee" to her nieces and nephews.
Dianne had a welcoming spirit and was quite the host. She loved to entertain guests, whether it be at her home or at her church. She was always proud to serve her church community at both Third Presbyterian and Isle of Palms Presbyterian church. When she wasn't hosting or serving in her church, she enjoyed eating out with her friends and family. She made everybody feel welcome and at home. Her smile was infectious and her kindness towards others will not be forgotten.
In addition to her parents, Dianne was predeceased by her first husband, Craig Sutton; second husband, Joe Michael; brothers, Tom Miller and Joe Miller; and son-in-law, Kenneth Helms. She is survived by her children, John Sutton, Rachel Sutton Helms and Curtis (Molly) Sutton; grandchildren, Carrie Leigh (Cody) Sutton Garner, Sadie (Christos) Sutton Kushell, Ken Helms, Jr., and Ashley Helms; great grandchildren, Emma Garner and Scarlett Kushell; siblings, Kathy Bowker and Jeff Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
