Ms. Helms, age 31, of Mooresville passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Hospice House of Catawba Valley.

She was born March 3, 1980 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Cynthia attended Harding High School where she enjoyed cheerleading and playing the drums. She was very creative and had an eye for detail which showed in her style and flare with website design. Throughout her life she enjoyed dance and all types of music and other artistic outlets. Cissy was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, and friend who had a compassionate nature and will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her parents, Garry L. Helms, Sr. and Jewell Helms of the home; brothers, Lenny Helms, Jr. and Patrick “PJ” Helms; nephew, Garry L. Helms III, uncles, Danny Helms and wife Ruth, Billy Manning and wife Jo Anne, Bobbie Manning and wife Ann, Jimmy O’ Conner and wife Carolyn, and Richard Helms, Jr.; aunt, Sandy Matthews; cousin, Denise Watkins and husband Billy, Cynthia Bradley and Michael Bradley; Anna Mae Helms; four beloved canine companions; and numerous other loving extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2011 at McEwen Charlotte Chapel. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
