Charlie was born on September 1, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late William Edward Murray and Juanita Emma Cox. He graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1968. Charlie retired from Penske Truck Leasing as a Service Manager.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Murray; daughter, Stacy (Scott) Clark; nieces, Kiley Cosgrove and Madison Murray of Logan, Ohio; 2 granddogs, Bailey and Sophie; many friends, and his beloved cat Sherman.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents, and brother, John Murray.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227. A Celebration of Charlie's Life will immediately follow.
