Born on July 10, 1931 in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. Melia and Rose Alma Richards. Her family moved to North Uxbridge, MA. where Carol attended Uxbridge High School and was a cheerleader, captain of the Women’s Basketball Team and Honor Roll Student. Following graduation Carol furthered her education at Salter Secretarial School. After raising her family Carol and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy their golden years. Carol became a member of the Phi Beta PSI Sorority while volunteering for the church as well as local election events.
