Carl Earl Carson was born on Long Island, New York in September 1987. He was born fearless, brazen, adventurous yet calm and carefree. As a baby, he spent time in Germany where he had his first taste of German Bier. At the age of three on Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Carl rode his first bicycle without training wheels and from there was no stopping him.
Carl learned to love the outdoors. The military moved the family to Anchorage, Alaska where they spent time camping in Seward and fishing along the Russian and Kenai River. Growing up you could almost always find him on some type of board whether it was a skateboard or snowboard. He eventually moved to Tampa where he reconnected with his father Earl and started working in the hospitality industry which allowed him to do what he loved most: travel all over the world and spend time with people.
From Tampa, Carl moved to New York to bond with his family before coming to Charlotte, NC. Being the adventurer he was, Carl spent one year in California working on the snow slopes. He decided to move back to Charlotte to spend time with his family and eventually planned to move back to California permanently.
Carl was a big kid at heart and his love of the Lord always shined through his smile. He smile said “I Love You, Come In”. While he was not married and did not have any children, his nieces and nephews loved Uncle Carl.
Carl is survived by his parents Kathryn and Darryl Durden, his grandmother Carolyn, his siblings Crystal Carson, Jessica Durden, Jeana, Robert, Larry and Dominick Rivers and cousins/brothers Ashton and Jamal Bonilla. Carl has several loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins, along with lifelong friends who were also his family.
If he met you and let you in, he loved you for life!! His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew him.
