Born in Wadesboro on March 7, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Grover Bailey and Irene Williams Bailey. Mrs. Miller had attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting, making stained glass windows and sewing.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, April 6th in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., with the Rev. Timothy S. Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Thursday, April 5th at the funeral home.
Surviving Mrs. Miller is her daughter, Sharon M. Ballard; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Miller in 1999; a son, Victor Paul Miller in 2002 and a grandson, Zachary Miller in 2007.
