Born in Richmond, VA, but raised in York, SC, she later relocated to Charlotte, NC where she met her husband.
Becky had an undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University and a Master’s degree from Pfeiffer University. She spent the majority of her professional life at Central Piedmont Community College serving for thirty-one years. Her greatest accomplishments were achieved during her leadership as the Associate Dean for Corporate and Continuing Education. She was truly passionate about the mission and values of the college and cared deeply for the people she worked with and for.
Becky is survived by her husband Wayne; sons, Ryan (Katie) of Indian Trail, NC, and Stephen (Casey) of Midland, NC; grandsons Zane Hall, Dalton Hall, and Bryce Hall, an uncle, Horace Griffin, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Horace Earl Story and Frances Griffin Story, as well as her sister Brenda Faye Story.
