Anne Bliss Johnson, 78, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Anne was born November 16, 1943 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late William W. and Mary Louise Hallsworth Johnson.
Anne was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and graduated with a master's degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She worked in several capacities as an educator including secondary school, community college, and university level. She had a kind spirit and will be missed by all who knew her.
Anne was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Thomas "Tommy" Oliver Jr (Donna) of Charlotte, NC; her grandson, Trey Oliver of Charlotte, NC; her brother, William "Bill" Johnson III of Columbia, SC; and many other loving extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at McEwen's Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A reception will follow the service to share fond memories.
