Ann Gounaris Economos, 85 of Charlotte NC passed peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jessica Ann Hipp. Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Steve Economos; children, Tommy (Donna) Economos, Nick ( Sherry ) Economos, Christena Hipp, Pete Economos; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and sister, Marika Boukedes. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Charlotte.
