Alice M Brown

Born March 3rd, 1935 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jess Arwood and Susie Keen Arwood Lester Street. She resided in Flint, Michigan most of her life before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy retirement. She returned to Lebanon, Virginia with her husband in 2016 to be closer to family. She was employed for many years at Stewart Jackson Printing as a printing press assistant in addition to being a loving mother to her son and daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ervin S. Brown and her son, Jerry Michael Brown; her brothers John Burke (J.B.) Arwood, Teddy Lester; Stepfather Charlie Lester, Step Sisters Sylvia Hess, Thelma Hess, Edith Owens, Myrtle Lester; and Stepfather Clyde Street.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherri Kraft (Scott); two granddaughters Taylor and Cassidy Kraft; Sisters Dorothy (Arwood) Key, Connie (Lester) Ratliff and Husband Shorty, Judy (Lester) Hagy and Husband Robert; as well as Brothers Tom Lester and wife Teresa, Dwight Lester and wife Maretta, and Sister-In-Law Kathy Lester, along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia with Shannon Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
