She was born in Laos on 7/24/1957. She has experienced everything from war time to recession time to peace time, but lived her life with grace in chaos and changes. She moved from Laos to Vietnam to the Philippines and finally found her home in America in 1986. Stephanie worked hard at many jobs, sometimes 2 jobs, as a single mom raising her daughter. She was a dedicated employee at Karsten-PING for over 30 years prior to her retirement in 2022.
She enjoyed traveling, visiting her family in Paris, a good game of mahjong with her friends and fun days shopping at the malls. She also loved to cook and bake especially her yummy pound cake, and sometimes created her own “famous rice brew”. Most of all, she loved spending time with her “boys Triple Ts”, the apples of her eyes. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and was just a kind, generous, and loving individual who taught us to think of others. In her early passing, she also taught us to embrace precious memories and moments and the importance of families and friends. We will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Yen Tran and Richard Pho, and by her three grandsons, Tyler Pho, Talan Pho, and Tanner Pho.
A visitation for Stephanie will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248, followed by a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com for the Thong family.
