Nikki graduated from Aztec High School in 1991. She later worked in the Aztec School system for many years. For the last 8 years she worked as a Legal Assistant for the Department of Justice in Phoenix, Arizona.
Nikki faced her journey with a strength and bravery that inspired everyone around her. Despite the challenges, she never lost her radiant smile or her love for life. A true athlete in her youth, Nikki carried her love for adventure and sports into her adult life. She found joy in the outdoors, where she was the happiest camping in the woods, kayaking over lakes, biking on the beach, or navigating rugged trails in her treasured 4runner, “Black Betty”. Her laughter was infectious, a sound her loved ones will carry in their hearts forever.
She was an enthusiastic collector of antiques, filling her home with unique treasures that told stories as rich as her own. She filled her space with vibrant plants, each one a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her home was also filled with the soothing sound of windchimes, which she loved, each one a gentle reminder of her joyfulness and peace she brought to those around her.
More than anything, Nikki cherished time with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her father Paul Montoya, Grandparents Emigran & Sophia Montoya, Walt & Mary Reindl and Fred Carter.
