Melba graduated from Cuba High School in 1955.
She was married to James Ingram on April 26, 1956 in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Melba worked as a switchboard operator in her early teens for Lindrith Telephone Company, in Cuba, New Mexico. She worked for Cuba Independent Schools for 25 years as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, then after retirement with the schools, she became one of the first to pioneer the Cuba Credit Union. She spent 18 years as Manager there.
She was a member of The Order Of Eastern Star. Melba was a sports fanatic, and tried to watch every game. She particularly loved the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals, and The Phoenix Suns.
She was survived by her daughter Rhonda Dimas and Son-In-Law Don Dimas. Her Granddaughter Andrea Thomas, and Grandson Sean Ingram, Her Granddaughter Melissa Cisneros, and Grandson Mark Dimas, Sr. Her Great Grandchildren Hannah Ingram, Emma Ingram, Jared Thomas, Ella Thomas, Mark Dimas, Jr., Nicole Dimas, Joshua Cisneros, Max Cisneros, Lucia Cisneros. Her siblings, Bernie Meeks, Reva Case, and Orlan Meeks.
