Mary was a member of the water exercise group here in Sun Lakes when I moved here, she was a very special lady and I admired her very much. Members of the exercise group were not aware of her passing and regret not being able to say their goodbyes to Mary.  Mary was loved by all of us.

Your Mother and Our Aunt "Hurricane" Mary was a one-of-a kind lady who had great strength and courage.  She lived her life with dignity and grace.  Family was the most important thing in life to her.  She knew how to celebrate life and offer hope to others.  She was blessed with a positive spirit and the ability to see good in all people.  She enjoyed life to the fullest.  She was the original "Golden" Girl.  Aunt Mary put her God given talents to use by being a blessing to all who knew her.  Her love of God was unmatched in this life.  We will always be eternally grateful to this wonderful women for her love and dedication to our Mother and Grandmother, her sister, Nancy.  We don't know what we would have done without her.

My mom was the greatest mom ever.  She was always there for all of us kids.  She has taught me there isn't anything you can't do when you put your mind to it.  I learned so much from her just watching everything she did.  She was a very strong person and loved life.  She will be in my heart always.  I love you mom.

I remember my aunt Mary as someone that was so full of life! She was always ready to go anywhere and do anything; she had a wonderful attitude; she didn't let anything stop her from doing what she wanted to do.

She also was the most talented seamstress; I so envied her ability to just look at a dress and be able to make an exact copy of it; what a gift! Not to mention that she could paint, upholster, and do just about anything artistic that she set her mind to do. I treasure the painted ceramics that she gave me as gifts.

A favorite memory is of Aunt Mary and her sister (my mother) visiting me in Nashville; both of them standing in a cloud of flour in my tiny kitchen making homemade pizza for 30 of my friends. It was fantastic and my friends still talk about how great that pizza tasted and that was 25 years ago!

My aunt Mary was truly one of a kind; we were all so lucky to have her around for 96 years; she will be missed; may she rest in eternal peace.

I remember visiting Mary with Lorainne in Michigan and I was so awed at the plant she had in the front window. It was a trailing begonia and it just trailed all over the table and the floor.  I have tried to grow one, but they never got as big as hers.  She was a great mom, and raised a great daughter, who is a friend of mine; my friend  Loraine,  Condolences to all her family.
