Martin is survived by his spouse, Vernell Ercoline; his son Martin John Ercoline, III (Abby); and his daughter Dawn Marie Ercoline; his sisters Anne Stern, Theresa Stevens and Carol Liebman; his grandchildren Fallon Ercoline (David Breen), Martin John Ercoline, IV (Christine), Danielle Hargate, Megan Schaller and Ryan Schaller.
Martin was an Air Force Veteran who retired to his adopted hometown of O’Fallon Illinois in 1980. He spent much of his post retirement fully employed as a Project Manager in the IT industry. He worked for Ralston Purina for many years until he retired from commercial work in the year 2003. Martin was an avid gardener and beekeeper. He spent much of his free time tending to his gardens and sharing his efforts with his friends and neighbors. You were lucky to receive his fresh jams, fruits, honey and vegetables. Martin accomplished much in his lifetime and will be missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service for Martin will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
